I graduated summa cum laude from Adelphi University in 2017 with a dual BA in communications and English and then from the University of Ottawa with an MA in English literature a year later. While continuing to serve as a teaching assistant, I enrolled in an M. Ed., which concluded in April 2022, and a certificate program for student advising in 2021. Other experience includes communications, public relations, journalism, social media, transcription, and marketing.

My academic and professional experiences have reinforced my core skills and strengths: oral and written communication, social and emotional competency, time management, attention to detail, capacity to research, creativity and innovation, and ability to work with diverse populations. My academic and professional records support that I am an exceptionally hard worker and perfectionist. I never give less than 100%, regardless of which task is given to me.

Throughout the past decade, I have come to acknowledge academia and learning as personal and professional passions. From the time I was in undergrad, I have played the role of quasi academic / career advisor for my family members and friends. I have a great love for helping people, especially in the pursuit of their passions, which I argue is what post-secondary institutions should always aim to help their students find. A specific professional goal is to have the opportunity to apply a proactive advising framework to help at-risk students make it across the graduation stage.
